what readers say about thea euryphaessa
Thea's personal journey is utterly compelling. I couldn't put her book down. Thea manages to make Greek mythology not only understandable, interesting, and relevant to our lives today, but shows how it can be utilised as a tool for self development. She introduces ideas and ways of thinking that broaden your mind, and lights the way for others to follow.

In my experience, among those documenting a spiritual voyage, Thea is unique.
Noteworthy for her clarity, candor, curiosity and scholarship, she truly stands apart for her aesthetic sensibility. She’s not merely an explorer. She's an artist - a serious and accomplished one.
And hilarious! Did I mention hilarious?

I have come to be intrigued by Thea’s journey: to be coming into herself, through running, pushing her boundaries, not accepting the self imposed limitations from childhood conditioning and personal self-doubt. Using the running to burn away accumulated stuff.
What comes through her writing is a warm, strong, genuine and oft times vulnerable feminine spirit that I empathise with deeply. I read her and look forward to every story, by the camp fire, along the path (with a glass of red).

Thea is driven, free to run and she accomplishes so much: that’s why I read her. She’s made my life better reading her stuff.

Thea is highly self-aware and introspective, which makes us kindred spirits. I therefore find her relate-able.
As a writer, her vocabulary and use of words is engaging and intelligent.
When she writes (e.g. about food and her relationship with it), she writes with candor and a vulnerability, which makes her real and once again, relate-able.
She emanates, through the written word, a strong desire for personal evolution and to live with passion and conviction.
She comes across as a spiritual being truly trying to make the most of her human experience.
She doesn't come across as pseudo-intellectual, conceited but instead sensitive and gracious.
Jewel Marin, USA
I was drawn to Thea by her openness about her human and spiritual struggles: she is so open about her emotional, sexual, physical, psychological and spiritual journey. She has shared her mistakes and her successes. A truly down to earth human being and a beautiful goddess at the same time.
She represents so much of what people who seek to address the deeper aspects of themselves have to face. She is the archetypal seeker in the modern world, a world that constantly pulls us into the small 's' self of 'me and mine', yet in which Spirit is constantly reminding us of allness, of the life beyond identity. The story of her journey and its challenges could help thousands of people going through similar issues.

Thea has a genuine honest way of writing. She enables a reader to read between the lines, as she does not fill in all of the gaps. The writing therefore is not overstated. There are identifiable elements to the stories she describes and as a reader, elements that one can adapt to one’s own life.
She does not wrap things up in cotton wool or present an image that is picture perfect, she presents herself as the ‘real’ article that she is and this makes everything more ‘human’ and therefore more believable. In a society that is presented with airbrushed images and cleverly constructed statements, the ‘real’ is very much more valuable and particularly ‘wanted’.

Upon reading Thea’s journey, I was hooked. For me, the reason this occurred is not only the topics (spirituality and self-actualization) of which she was writing and continues to write about are of high interest to me, it is her method.
Method. It is not just in syntax, it is how she streams words together which draw you in very simply, then...BAM! You experience an epiphany within yourself and find a commonality in the struggle and journey travelled to reach such a place.
And that is powerful.
And it is what brings me back.
It is one thing to write of prophetic topics as an observer, it is another to be naked in one's words and an active participant as the observer of self. I believe in her honest attempt to write from this place serves as a powerful tool in chiselling away false exteriors and connecting with others at a soul level.
She certainly has with me.

Thea’s journey touches my heart as I love to read of transformational journeys - of which hers is a great example.
I am touched by her writing and find it particularly honest and expressive (this is what moves me), she writes very well and creates an opening for the reader to travel with her as she shares so openly and candidly of herself.
Her dedication to growth, to truly traversing her inner landscape through her life's experiences, well... it is transformational for the reader just reading her 'work'.
I see lots of my own journey in hers, and also aspects that have not experienced and probably never will. I so enjoy the journey that her writing takes me on. It warms my heart.

I find myself in Thea’s words - bits and pieces of me that have been dropped along the way and, all of a sudden I find them again while following her journey.
Her writing is open, honest and heart-rending at time. I judge her to be a writer with the ability to be absolutely transparent in her words, which, for me, has helped me to find my own healing. She addresses topics that others are afraid to address in eloquent and approachable ways.

Thea is a beautiful writer - natural, poetic, honest and engaging.
She embodies a beautiful, down-home and earthy presence that not only shows a zest for life, but shines forth in her writing. She naturally connects with her reader in the sheer honesty of her words.
Kellee, Pennsylvania, USA
Thea’s honesty, candor and sincerity is refreshing, entertaining, uncomfortable and transforming in various ways - sometimes all at the same time. I like that her point of view is intelligent and well researched, yet intuitive and open-minded. I feel as though I'm learning so much through her experiences of the past as well as those that have yet to come.
I love Thea’s writing - her determination to be and do what she says and thinks as her greatest and grandest visions about who she feels/believes she is. Her tenacity and consistency. To me, she radiates the brilliance of a true star.
Blue Simmons, Philadelphia, USA
Thea is an open and honest person. It is satisfying for me to read her journey.
Edward Ebbs, Oregon, USA
Thea is one of the most realistic, authentic people I’ve read, which is why I continue to read her journey in awe: she treads where other people would fear to.
Something in the uniqueness of her writing touches you so deeply that you see the world in a whole different light, without even realising it.
Beverly Elliot, Kendal, UK
"Furthermore, we have not even to risk the adventure alone; for the heroes of all time have one
before us, the labyrinth is fully known; we have only to follow the thread of the hero-path.
And where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god; where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves; where we had thought to travel outward, we shall come to the center of our own existence; where we had thought to be alone, we shall be with all the world."
Joseph Campbell
